I am finishing "All in Her Head" by Elizabeth Comen and it has been something that I can only read/listen to in short time periods. I'm glad to learn of the history of women and medicine, and this is saddening and enraging at the same time.
Same, Kim! I had to process each chapter in small chunks. Just today a patient brushed off her abdominal pain and I stopped her. We talked about this book!
Re-reading Emperor of All Maladies. Actually listening on Audible. I know good writing — sometimes even my own — but can’t delineated the principles. This version brings out the idea that a style that flows like a conversation is desirable if difficult.

My work colleague and breast cancer survivor published her 2nd novel this year - it is FABULOUS. It’s called Relative Strangers by AH Kim.
